A Look at Rain Chances this Weekend and Beyond

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be with us this weekend.  It won’t be a washout, but there will times with rain.  A few storms may be strong on Saturday producing some hail and gusty winds.  The greatest threat though will be lightning.  If you do have outdoor plans be cautious of the storms.

Take along the rain gear for the big game.  There is the chance we could see a shower or thunderstorm in the morning and thru game time.

Here is a look at rain chances this weekend.

Here are two long-range forecast models that go out to Wednesday of next week.  Below you can see what these models are showing for rainfall totals at DFW.

The greatest coverage of rain and the longest lasting rain will come Monday and Tuesday.  This is when we will really start to fill up the rain buckets with numerous showers and thunderstorms.
