New charges filed against woman in Utah-Nev. spree (AP)

SALT LAKE CITY ? Authorities have filed new charges against a Utah woman held in a Nevada jail for a crime spree involving multiple shootings, car theft and burglary.

Prosecutors say Angela Atwood participated in a burglary two days before the crime spree became apparent with the murder of a retired couple found shot to death Dec. 31 in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Police have charged Atwood's partner, Logan McFarland, in the burglary of the couple, but no charges have been filed for the killing of LeRoy or Ann Fullwood.

Prosecutors filed new charges Wednesday against Atwood for a burglary of another Mount Pleasant home.

Atwood is accused of shooting a woman in the head during a Dec. 31 carjacking. McFarland is charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and automobile theft in Nevada.
